Privacy policy

1. What we collect

• Project info — name, contact details, site location, model and parameters you enter in the estimator.
• Agreement records — signed name, IP, timestamp, and the content of agreements you sign.
• Payment metadata — Stripe transaction IDs and status. We do not store card numbers.
• Site usage — basic analytics (pages viewed, referrer, device class). No advertising trackers.

2. How we use it

We use your information to deliver proposals, complete agreements, schedule production, send transactional communications, and improve our service. We do not sell personal information.

3. Sharing

• Trusted vendors strictly under contract — Stripe (payments), Supabase (hosting/data), Resend (email).
• Trades and consultants for your specific project, only as needed.
• Authorities, where required by law.

4. Retention

Lead and project records are retained for the life of the project and seven years after, consistent with Ontario business record requirements. [Confirm retention windows with counsel.]

5. Your rights (PIPEDA)

Under PIPEDA you can request access to your personal information, corrections, or deletion (subject to legal hold periods). Email privacy@greenhomes.ca.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to authenticated team members under role-based permissions. We do not store payment card numbers.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for sign-in and core site behaviour. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.

8. Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes are posted here with a new effective date.
