1. Who we are
Green Homes ("we," "our") is a design and pre-construction studio in Whitby, Ontario, serving Simcoe County, the District of Muskoka, Durham Region and the City of Kawartha Lakes. We handle design, permits and selections, then place construction with licensed builder partners.
2. Acceptance
By using green-homes.life, requesting a proposal, signing a digital agreement, or otherwise interacting with our online tools, you agree to these Terms.
3. Estimates & proposals
Online estimates are budgetary indications based on the parameters you provide and our standard model platforms. They are not binding offers. Construction price, schedule, deposits and warranty are established by the build contract you sign directly with your licensed builder partner after design completion. Green Homes stays on hand for design questions during the build.
4. Digital agreements & e-signatures
We use electronic signatures under Ontario's Electronic Commerce Act, 2000. Typing your name and confirming consent on a sign page constitutes your legal signature. We record the signed name, IP address, and timestamp.
5. Payments
Design retainers are processed through Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Your design retainer is credited against your Design & Permit Package under the Pre-Construction Design Agreement. Construction deposits, scheduling and refund terms are agreed directly with your licensed builder partner in your build contract, not with Green Homes.
6. Intellectual property
All drawings, specifications, photographs, and content on this site are owned by Green Homes. You may share links to our public pages, but reproduction or redistribution requires written permission.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, Green Homes is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this website or our online tools. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. [Counsel review.]
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and applicable federal laws of Canada. Disputes are submitted to the courts of Ontario.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
